Top Comment: if I have compatible hearing aids, does an apple cellular watch stream from the watch to my HA, if my phone isn’t with me?

Hikaru's done quite a few charity streams now, more than I see most streamers do. Lots of respect for him.
Stream Aid video with Twitch Chat
Main Post:
Hello Everyone,
Just noticed that there is no past broadcast for the Stream Aid yesterday and there are a couple of performances I missed and wanted to rewatch with Twitch chat, so I wanted to hear if it will be uploaded later or if it's anywhere online?
Thank you!

As far as I know even just the full stream without chat isn't available and no one knows if it will be.
The best I've found is a few complete or mostly complete watch alongs in the Twitch Stream Aid Category but that's a last resort.
Best way to watch a TV show to aid learning German?
Main Post:
Hi guys, I'm a beginner as far as learning German goes. I've done a 4 week A1 course while living in Berlin for six months and I'm trying to keep up my study now that I'm back in Australia. I'd say my current level is around A1.2 or so, perhaps a bit better when it comes to grammar.
My question is related to using TV shows as a learning aid. I'm wondering if for someone at my skill level it would be more advatageous to listen in German with English subtitles or ro listen in English with German subtitles?
Just a simple question I don't really have an answer to. Thanks in advance!

Either German with English subs (so you can follow along with the plot) or German with German subs (so you can know what they're saying, more or less)
Is there any way to watch the replay of stream aid 2020?
Main Post:
I can't seem to find a way to replay the whole stream. All I can seem to find are a few short clips.
Is the full stream out there somewhere?

I too have been looking for this. I missed the first couple of hours and would love to be able to go back and watch them. It doesn't appear to show up in the Videos section of Twitch's channel.
Did you watch Live Aid concert (in person or on TV) when it aired 1985? What performance was the most memorable for you?

Watch when another aid comes in and yanks the flowers from Meghan.

Top Comment: Like a toddler refusing to return a lost toy she’d found. The fact that it took multiple aids and even then Harry (finally some spine!) to get her to release those flowers she was clutching so tightly is insane. They weren’t for her! No one knew she was even going to be there! They were for the queen!!! I think when she notified US media, she had a plan to lay peoples flowers down herself for great media shots painting her in a saintly light, like the Uvalde appearance. But then William invited them, and she decided to try and do it anyways. Thank goodness for those aids. Exposing her bad attitude and making sure she doesn’t trample on a moment of reflection on the queen’s memory.
How I Use My Apple Watch as an Autism Aid
Main Post: How I Use My Apple Watch as an Autism Aid
Top Comment: Even without my downloading a single app, two features of the Apple Watch stood out to me: the option of a tap notification and the almost endlessly customizable watch faces. As an autistic individual with extreme sensitivity to sound, I’ve found that the constant pinging of notifications on my phone has never helped me—it has served only as a source of startle, distraction, and irritation. I’ve had all of the sound and vibration on my phone disabled for several years, and so it was with some excitement and gratitude that I discovered the soft (and silent!) tapping gestures of the Apple Watch. I’m also autistic with a sensitivity to sound. Reading this makes a lot of sense, I don’t think I’ve had my phone off silent since I got my Series 5 at launch.
Apple watch tips/tricks for those with made for iphone (MfI) hearing aids from a friendly neighborhood Audiologist!
Main Post:
If you have any Resound, Oticon, Siemens, or Starkey hearing aids, you should be able to access your hearing aid menu from your apple watch! I mention Phonak at the end.
Follow the instructions below (this is assuming you have already paired your hearing aids to your iphone, if you have not done this, then you will need to pair them through settings>accessibility>hearing devices>here you restart both or just one of your hearing aids depending on how many you have> they should pop up as options to connect>wait until BOTH R and L hearing aids appear if you have two, then tap to connect>It will ask you to pair twice since you have two hearing aids or just once if you only have one. Once your iphone is connected to your hearing aids, a 3 click of the home button will bring up the hearing aids shortcut menu. You are wanting this on your apple watch as well
Now to access your hearing aid menu such as volume and battery from your watch. You have multiple options here. Either a complication shortcut to your hearing devices, or by adding the app that accompanies your hearing aids (if there is one) to your watch face.
For adding the hearing devices shortcut and complication, make sure your hearing aids are connected first. I would go to the apple watch settings>accessibility>scroll down all the way to hearing devices and make sure they are connected. You can also tap "accessibility shortcuts" and enable the 3 click of your crown to also trigger the Hearing aid menu just like on your phone. Once your hearing aids are connected to your phone and you verified it on your watch, you should be able to add "Hearing devices" as a complication on your watch face. Some people have reported this was not working for awhile but hopefully that is resolved shortly if not already fixed!
*Note here that if you have trouble tapping the home button quickly to trigger this menu, you can actually change the response speed needed to trigger this by going to Settings>accessibility>side button>change click speed to slowest. If you did not update to IoS 13 then it would be Settings>accessibility>home button>click to change speed to slowest.
Another option is to add your actual hearing aid app to your phone. So far, Oticon ON, Starkey TruHearing, and Resound Smart 3D are the only ones I know of that have a watch compatible app. You can add the actual hearing aid app as the complication instead of the "hearing devices" complication I gave instructions for above. This will be easy access to your Hearing aid which will show battery life, programs, etc.
Also, if you haven't done so already on your phone, you can add the hearing devices menu to your "control center". The menu that you get to when you pull down from the top right. You go to settings>control center>customize controls>and add hearing. This will let you bring up the hearing aid menu even when your phone is locked by swiping down from the top right or from the bottom if you have iphone 8 and older.
My hope is that they add the hearing shortcut to the apple watch control center as well but no luck yet. I am an Audiologist (hearing and balance doctor) so I deal with this all day long. Feel free to ask any questions about your hearing aids and iphone connectivity as well! Keep in mind the latest IOS update messed with bluetooth connectivity for hearing aids but this *should* be fixed now per apple.
For those of you with Phonak Marvels, your hearing aids connect to your phone as if they were headphones. So while you can't access battery life etc from your watch, you can still control music/calls from your watch as it is connected to your phone which is connected to your watch. So if you go to the next track on pandora, that will tell your hearing aids to stream the next track. Hopefully Phonak Remote becomes available on apple watch soon!
Top Comment: I have just got a pair of Resound LiNX Quattro CIC hearing aids. So far so good. I would love to connect them to my new MacBook Air. This seems near impossible to find any information. Do you think it is possible?
